These are my recent projects from the last year or so. I will look look through my 30 years of photos and see if I can find some of the other things I have done and update as soon as I can.

Under Stairs Dog Kennel
Utilizing Space
This is a wall cut out to expose the unused space under the stairs to accommodate two medium to large dogs. I used leftover flooring to match existing floors and installed an LED recessed light with light switch. The double gates are a Chippendale pattern designed to open completely flush to wall and are latched securely by upper and lower decorative bolt latches. I think Jed and Lilly knew it was for them the whole time as they tried to help through out the process and seem to love the new space.

Keeping the bugs out
Removed old dated lattice and built rails with a Chippendale design and framed in the openings. I screened in the openings with insect rated screen and installed a storm door with dog door.
Stair Renovation
Goodbye Carpet
Owner had replaced all of the carpet in the home with updated flooring except for the stairs. Finally disgusted with the old carpet, she ripped it from the steps with her bare hands. She had a vision of what she wanted, and I made it come true.
Painted all rails black, cut and stained treads with true black stain and put 4 coats of floor poly on for durability. The risers are hand cut from shiplap and the first riser is tiled with a mosaic pattern ceramic tile.
Office / Media Wall
Plenty of Breathing Space
Didn’t have office space for them or the kids, but had a large wall with just a TV. Found desk height cabinets from ReStore and re constructed them to fit a 185″ wall with two desk areas and a media center in the middle. Panted and put on some new hardware. Installed brand new laminate tops (also from ReStore) and added some cove lighting. HAPPY FAMILY!
Double Closet Barn Doors
With Custom Frosted Plexiglass
The client had a 24″ door that blocked part of the inside shelves when opened.
They don’t make The standard 84″ tall doors that are only 15″ each to cover the opening and couldn’t do a single door because there was only 20″ to slide either way, so I made these custom doors that are going to work great.
I will post the renovated closet when I’m done..
Loft Bed
Full Size with Desk
This was a project for my grandson, so I went a little overboard on the extras $$$
Although his bed is a twin, I made it so he can upgrade to a full size mattress. It has three secret hiding places, a desk, LED cove lighting and LED swivel reading light.
Oh, and I slapped together a chair from leftover lumber.

Table Base Repair
Antique Chippendale Table
New home owners moved in across the street and the movers managed to break one of the table bases of this antique Chippendale table. I managed to do a pretty good job repairing it and making it sturdier than before.

These are duel raised garden beds made with pressure treated ground contact lumber. I made a slanted trellis on one of them with galvanized fencing for zucchinni to hang off of for easy picking.

Turtle Habitat
Keeping Leo Safe
This is a box turtle named Leo that not only needed a turtle habitat, but it had to be high enough off the ground so the dogs could not get to it. He has a separate room with a hinged roof for easy cleaning. His courtyard is equipped with a wading pond with a homemade circulating water filtration system I built. This is one spoiled turtle!

Cove lighting is always a beautiful addition to your home. There are option for indoor or outdoor. it can be used for under cabinet lighting, over cabinet lighting, patio lighting, landscape lighting and crown molding cove lighting.
